Press Release

The long awaited debut music album of renowned Boholano musician, Romeo Mascariñas, will officially hit the airwaves and select music stores on July 16th, 2010. Playing cover songs for the last 30 years, Romeo Mascariñas has finally decided to write and self-produced his own music by collaborating with another Boholano, New Orleans-based songwriter, Fr. J. Roel Lungay.

The collaborative journey for the Boholano tandem started at the beginning of 2009 when both came up with their first self-produced single, “Big Bang!” Followed by a series of uniquely-penned tracks such as “Unanswered Prayers,” “Love Somehow Will Find A Place In Our Hearts,” “Road To Nowhere,” “Indecision,” “I’m Totally Yours,” etc., this CD album promises an array of subject that would surely tickle the fancy of music lovers as well as rock music enthusiasts. “Big Bang!“ is undeniably a far-flung departure from the most common OPMs that hit the airwaves and music stores in recent years.

Roro Music-Bohol, the producers of “Big Bang,” has scheduled the launching of its first album with a dinner-gala at the Sandugo Ballroom, Bohol Tropics, Tagbilaran City on July 16, 2010. The event is “by invitation only.” Entertainment will be provided by Romeo Mascariñas, a No Name Band, and Boholana chanteuse, J. Ann Talisic. The evening event will be emceed by nationally-known program directress, Ardy Batoy-Araneta.

CALL TO ALL NATIONS

CALL TO THE NATIONS

Written by J. Roel Lungay & Romeo C. Mascariñas

Millions of people,
Counting our children,
Are dying everywhere;
Millions of others
Brothers and sisters,
Their lives like living hell.
Life doesn’t have to be this way
We’ve come a long, long way, we say.
There are so many other ways
Why can’t we start the change today?

REFRAIN:
And so I make this CALL TO ALL NATIONS
Children of the world, folks of all colors,
From east to west, to north and south,
From me to you and you to all.

Here’s my call to all humanity,
Let us rid of poverty,
Try to set all people free
And afford them dignity -
The life deserving you and me.

Where is our future
And where is the concord
Our hearts our longing for?
Where is the solace
And where is the peace
We all try to achieve?
Life doesn’t have to be this way
We’ve come a long, long way, we say
There are so many other ways
Why can't we start the change today?

BRIDGE:
Build a bridge of harmony,
Friendship, peace and unity;
Make a room for one another
In your mind and heart and soul.

(Refrain)
